Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. William “Buddy” Louis Livingston, 84, of Winnsboro, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA.

Mr. Livingston was born on December 4, 1941 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away in Monroe,

LA on December 18, 2025. William was an avid basketball, football and baseball player in high school. Buddy graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1959. He attended Northeast Louisiana University (University of Louisiana, Monroe) where he met Jacqueline Earline Stevens. They married in November 1961. He earned a B.S. from NLU in 1966 and master’s degree in chemical engineering in 1970.

He worked most of his life in West Monroe at Manville Paper Mill until the late 1980’s. Pursuing his life-long dream to own a business, he soon opened and ran Monroe Carton Plant before retiring to Sedona, Arizona. Not one to just sit around and grow old gracefully, Buddy next spent several years working in Malaysia. Upon his return to Winnsboro for good in 2007, he loved telling stories about longhouses, headhunters, Borneo jungles and the South China Sea.

Mr. Livingston is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Thelma Creel Livingston; a brother, Marshall Lee Livingston; and wife, Jackie Stevens Livingston.

Survivors include his sisters, Elizabeth Wallace of West Monroe, LA and Alice Monroe of Jena, LA; daughter, Lee Ashley Livingston of San Antonio, Texas; and grandson, Aidan Walker Guice of College Station, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Aidan Guice, Nick Leonard, Zachary Broussard, Troy Carter, Adam Fussell, and Glen Lochbrunner.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Monday.
