William K. Rogers

William K. Rogers, known as Bill Rogers, 76 years old, of Whispering Pines, North Carolina, passed away on November 12, 2022, peacefully in his home.

Bill was born on January 5, 1946, to John Nevel and Anne Estelle Rogers in Monroe, LA. After Bill graduated from West Monroe High School in 1965, he joined the United States Air Force on February 28, 1966, as an aircraft mechanic.

He moved to Boulder, CO and worked for Xcel Energy (previously known as Boulder Public Service Company) from 1972 – 2002, as a turbine operator. Following retirement, he moved to Whispering Pines, NC, where he resided upon his death.

Bill is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Mann, and grandson, Kyle Plowman. Debbie Tally, her husband, David, and grandsons, Chris, and Ryan.

Upon his retirement, he became a full-time grandfather, traveled in his motor home visiting friends and family, while always being a lover of cars.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne Estelle, brothers James Robert, and John Everett, sister Jane Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Theresa. He is survived by nieces Margaret Ann Rogers Bachrach (husband Don Collins, son Joshua Bachrach, and daughter, Melissa Bachrach), and Laurie Steel (son RJ, and daughter, Jenna). Nephew John Jeffery Rogers (wife Mary Jane Rogers, daughter, Sheridan (Chris) Howery. Plus, many furry friends!

Services will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 300 McMillian Rd, West Monroe, LA, on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM, burial following at Hasley Cemetery, 1500 Arkansas Rd, West Monroe.
