Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mr. William Adrian “Dub” Weed, 89, of Columbia, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Welcome Home Baptist Church in Hebert, LA with Bro. Jim McKeithen, Bro. Yuri Thompson and Bruce Ducharme officiating. Interment will follow in the Prewitt Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA.

Mr. Weed was born on September 25, 1936, in Mangham, LA and passed away on August 24, 2026. He graduated from Mangham High School and attended LSU. He later joined the United States Air Force and then went to work at the Gulf Service Station in Monroe, LA. Mr. Weed also worked at Westinghouse, Eastern Electric, and Southern Apparatus and eventually retired after 60 years of service to his communities. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Weed was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher. He loved his family immensely and spent every moment possible showing them.

Mr. Weed is preceded in death by his parents, Purvis B. and Willye B. Hixon Weed; his wife of 48 years and mother of his children, Sharon R. Weed; grandson, Caleb D. White; sister, Anne Weed Murrell and husband, Donnie; brother, Purvis L. Weed and wife, Kathleen; brother-in-law, Donald Welch, Sr.; and his wife of 3 years, Margaret Thomason.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sherry White and husband, Patrick, Bryan Weed and wife, Christy, Wende Weed, and Rebecca “Becky” Caban and husband, Victor; sister, Linda Weed Welch; grandchildren, Emily and husband, Cody; Christian and wife, Danielle, Christerfer and wife, Asia, Breanna, Benett, Adrianne, Cheyenne and husband, Caleb, Brittany and husband, Cody, Sydney and husband, Hunter, Nathalya, and Yasmin; great grandchildren, Abby, Reese, Maggie, Ellie, Emmy, Leighton, RaeLynn, Houston, and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Todd Weed, Randy Weed, Christian Weed, Christerfer Weed, Benett Weed, Patrick White, Victor Caban and Donald Welch Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Caleb Gilfour, Cody Brocato and Mr. Weed’s Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Welcome Home Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the members of Welcome Home Baptist Church, to Dr. Mark Operano and the staff of Winters Clinic, Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and also the members of Archibald First Baptist Church for the many prayers received and for the donations of any kind that were given to help Mr. Weed and the family.
