Yvonne Levine Stephan

Funeral services for Yvonne Levine Stephan, 86, of Monroe, LA will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Rabbi Judy Ginsburgh officiating.  Interment will follow at the Jewish Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the funeral home.

Yvonne was born on February 4, 1937, to Gabriel and Minnie Levine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the owner of Stephan Manufacturing in Monroe.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Paul Stephan and her sisters, Etta Levine and Shirley Stein. 

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Roa; and her sons, Joel (Kristy) Stephan and Jonathan (Lori) Stephan. Also surviving her are her beloved grandchildren, Brianna (Cameron) Cicero, Danielle Roa, Piper (Justin) Tillman, Noah Stephan, Adley Stephan, Jessica (Carter) Cascio and Hunter Neal. She will also be missed by special friends, Mark Albritton, Tanner Hines, the Silverstein clan; her sister-in-law, Gabi Stephan; her niece; nephews; and many cousins. Her beloved pets, Roxie, Zeus and Sheba miss her greatly.

Yvonne was a long-time member of Temple B’Nai Israel in Monroe and attended services faithfully. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, loved travelling and cooking. An avid lover of German Shepherds, Yvonne felt that German Shepherds were the very best dogs in the world. She also enjoyed helping deliver hounds to their adoptive families for All Hounds on Deck

Pallbearers will be Mark Albritton, Noah Stephan, Hunter Neal, Cameron Cicero, Tanner Hines and Chadd Matheny.

Memorials may be made to Temple B’Nai Israel, All Hounds on Deck dog rescue or the American Cancer Society.
